To sensitize community and facilitate its engagement in conservation of Mt Elgon Forest Reserve and to maximize benefits for community in a flourishing Mt Elgon Ecosystem
THE ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE AND TEAM
Friends of Mt Elgon Reserve are a community based Organization (CBO). The apex body in the organization is the executive that has three key officials (the chairperson, the secretary and the treasurer). The board is responsible for providing overall strategic leadership and strategic control in the organization. The executive liaises with partners and is actively engaged in resource mobilization for the projects to be implemented.
The project conceptualization, planning, design and implementation of activities is managed by a project coordinator. The project coordinator reports directly to the executive and is responsible for delivery of set objectives. To deliver on project activities, the project coordinator is assisted by project officers. The project officers implement projects under the direct supervision of the project coordinator.
To assist with administrative functions, there is an accountant who handles financial management and reports to the project coordinator. The office assistant manages the organizations office and reports to the project coordinator.
